Discover Batam Island

Batam Island, in Riau Islands Province, Indonesia, has undergone a cataclysmic transformation in a few short decades. Once home to a biodiverse mangrove ecosystem, the island has been overrun by the dual complications of rampant industrial development and mass human settlement. As a result, delicate coastal habitats – a vital link in the global environment and still home to a resplendent array of fauna and flora – are under threat and severe strain.

Souvenirs To Buy In Cambodia

Not so many people get to experience the magic of Cambodia.  Those who are fortunate enough to visit this extraordinary country choose to stay far longer than planned.  When it is about time to leave, one is left with no choice but to simply browse through photos, watch videos in order to prolong the feeling of being in Cambodia and cherish the marvelous memories.  As for me, I make it a point to buy a lot of souvenirs in order for me to share a bit of each place with my loved ones back home.

It was no different when I got to visit the Kingdom of Cambodia last year together with my partner.  But I would have to admit that I did a bit of research before hand to check which souvenirs were worth lugging back with me and possibly cause me to pay some overweight baggage fines at the airport.

Things To Do In Batanes

The Batanes Islands are the northernmost province of the Philippines, a largely undeveloped region known for its beaches and natural attractions. It is also the smallest and least populated region in the country, a land ideal for relaxing far away from the hectic urban life. Imagine a place with no traffic, no industrial pollution and no crime, and Bataan will come to mind.

Here are some of things you can do in Batanes:

Hop the islands. Only 3 of the 10 islands comprising the Batanes are large enough to sustain communities, while the rest can be experienced by boat. Sabtang Island is a highlight among the islands; it was named one of the country’s 12 best destinations by the Department of Tourism for its white beaches and deep canyons. Itbayat Island and Mavudis are other points of interest.
