There is an interesting place in South Korea where a person can go back to his or her childhood and start believing in happy ever after all over again.  I am actually referring to Everland.

From the time the highly popular Everland Resort opened its doors to the public in 1976, it has already provided quality entertainment, first class service, and fun way of learning to hundreds and hundreds of park goers each year. The resort is divided into several attractions that can be enjoyed by everyone – both young and the young at heart.  Attractions at the Everland Resort include the Caribbean Bay, which is a world-class water park.  There is also a motor race track called the Speed Way, Home Bridge, Glen Ross Golf Club, Art Museum, and a Transportation Museum among others.

It is quite easy to get to Everland as this theme park is highly accessible from any of the reputable hotels in Seoul like the Riviera Hotel Seoul.  One can reach the resort either by catching tour buses in their designated bus stops or by taking public transportation.  The bus stops for the tour buses depend on the travel agent that is responsible for booking the trip.  Tour buses stop at selected areas like at the Seoul City Hall, Sangdong, Ilsan, Kunyoung Omni, Cheongyangri, Homeever, etc.  As for public buses, points of departure include Gang-byeun, Ansan, Gangnam, Suwon, Bucheon, Sinsa, Anyang, Sadang, Sinisa, and Sungnam among others.

There are also a number of ways to get hold of tickets to Everland.  Entry passes are available in two kinds – the One Day Pass and the Tour Pass.  Passes that are available for one day can be bought for a total of 35, 000 WON (adults) if it will be used starting in the morning.  These One Day Passes will allow the bearer admission to Everland including complimentary use of the playground.  Another One Day Pass ticket called the night pass can be availed at a discounted rate of only 30, 000 WON (adults) and is valid only from 5:00 pm onwards.

On the other hand, the Tour Passes to Everland can be bought for 20, 000 WON (adults) and is valid for a total of four hours.  There will be an extra charge of 5, 000 WON per person for every extension of one hour.  Groups of four to ten people can avail of these tour passes and these passes are sold until four hours before Everland closes.  These Tour Passes include certain perks such as photo opportunities with selected animals and park talents, discounts in certain tours including the Safari Tour, complimentary drinks, etc.

But actually, it is quite difficult to imagine how one can squeeze in all the wonderful attractions of Everland in four hours!  There are a lot of interesting things to see and adventures to experience in Everland.

American Adventure – Learn more about America specifically about the discovery of this country.  Don’t miss the Columbus Great Explorations, Let’s Twist, and the Rolling X Train as these are considered the top attractions of the American Adventure section of Everland.

European Adventure -  Anyone who is dreaming of that great European adventure would surely be thrilled to visit the European Adventure area of Everland.  An interesting photo area would be the French designed rocking hours and the royal garden.  Make sure to visit the T Express at the Holland Village.

Magic Land – From the name itself, you would immediately think that this is the place where all your dreams and imaginations can come true.  This area is a favorite spot among couples who would like to enjoy each other’s company.  The major attraction of Magic Land is Aesop’s Village.

Zootopia – All animal lovers must visit the Zootopia of Everland and learn more about the different lovable animals.  Guests can view the Safari and watch some animals in their various performances.

Aside from these specific attractions, there are also a number gift shops to check out where visitors can buy souvenirs.  Hungry visitors no longer need to look far to food as quite a number of restaurants are scattered all over Everland.  There are restaurants that serve Korean cuisine, Western cuisine, Chinese cuisine, and Fusion cuisine.  There are also fast food chains and coffee shops.

So the next time you find yourself in South Korea make sure that you visit the magnificent Everland resort and have your share of everlasting fun.

Note:  The Everland Resort is open from 9:30 am to 10:00 pm from Monday to Saturday.  But on Sundays, the park opens at 9:00 am instead of 9:30 am.
