How Well Do You Know Asia Challenge
February 18th, 2009 by BellhopOver the coming days and weeks, we will be featuring seven (7) countries from Asia (chosen at random). There will be an image from each country in a 5 x 5 sliding puzzle game. You will need to solve the puzzle at the least amount of time and determine which post from the AsiaHotels Blog the image is from. Random clues will be given for each puzzle. It is a simple, fun and addicting game to learn more about Asia! Read below for Rules and Mechanics.

Clue 1:
Is it from a) the Ghibli Musuem in Tokyo, b) the World of Osamu Tezuka just outside Osaka or is it from c) Harmonious Nature Trip in Sendai?
Clue 2:
Is it from a) Nanjing, one of the Ancient Capitals of China, b) the Wondrous Temple of Heaven in Beijing or is it from c) a Surprise from Shanghai?
Clue 3:
Is this Thailand Food Souvenir a Delicious Asian Street food, or a Must Take Home Thai Delicacy, or from Would You Dare To Eat This Bug?
Tip: Open the Clue pages. The image from the puzzle is there. When playing, put the puzzle and the correct image side by side, so you’ll have a reference on which image block goes where!
Clue 4:
From the numerous Hong Kong attractions, is this from the magical Hong Kong Disneyland, a Dazzling Symphony of Lights or a scenic walk at the Hong Kong Park?
Tip: Arrange the 2 outer most top rows and left columns. That way, you’ll be left with a 3×3 sliding puzzle to solve in the corner.
Clue 5:
The Philippines has a lot of romantic destinations. Is this image from the Picturesque Palawan, Heavenly Sagada or the Breath-taking Boracay Island?
Clue 6:
From the numerous offerings of South Korea, is it from the a) Exotic Jeju Island, b) Mountainous Seoul, or the c) Splendid Sea City of Busan?
Tip: Stuck? Try closing the window and re-launch the puzzle again.
Clue 7:
Which famous Singapore landmark is this image from: a) the Singapore Flyer, b) Fountain of Wealth at the Suntec City Mall or a c) DUCKtours Amphibious Vehicle?

Rules:
1. Read the question. For hints, you may visit the pages about the featured country.
2. Click on launch game button. A new window will open. (Make sure to have your pop up blocker disabled, just in case).
3. To play the game, simply click the mix button. Once the squares have been rearranged click on any of the square images adjacent to an empty space. It will automatically move to the empty space. The timer automatically stops when all pieces of the puzzle are in their correct locations. The goal is to complete the game at the fastest time.
4. Take a screenshot of your completed puzzle window. Save the image in PNG or JPG format.
5. Send an email to elaine.muncal@asia-hotels.com with the following details:

6. You can submit up to a maximum of 5 entries per puzzle per day . Keep on playing until you get a better time! You will receive a confirmation email for each submission sent (valid entries). Entries with the same solving time will be considered as one.
7. New puzzles will be uploaded at random days and times between now and March 16, 2009.
8. Deadline for submission of entries will be March 16, 2009, at 0600 H, GMT +8. Winners will be announced on this page at March 16, 2009, 1200 H, GMT +8 with their winning screenshots. UPDATE: The deadline of entries has been extended until April 14, 2009 at 0600 H, GMT +8. You can still submit your entries for more chances of winning!

1 winner of USD 50 - first person to submit all 7 correctly completed puzzles
1 winner of USD 50 - person with the fastest total time for all 7 correctly completed puzzles
