St Augustine's Church
st-augustines-church.jpg

This church was originally built by Spanish Augustinian priests but was taken over by the Portuguese after three years. The church is famous for the cross-carrying figure of Jesus Christ at the altar.

Perhaps the most notable community participation of St. Augustine’s Church are the yearly Easter processions wherein the statue of Jesus Christ is carried through the streets by thousands of devotees then returned to the church afterwards.
