Walk Inside Thailand’s Elephant Nature Park » Feeding time for baby elephant
Visitors in Elephant Nature Park start the day by buying lots of fruits and vegetables in the nearest marketplace. They then go back to the park and feed the elephants, which consumes a tenth of their weight in food every day.

Sample rural bliss in one of the most beautiful lakes in Southeast Asia. Myanmar’s Inle Lake is lush, pristine with its charming paddy fields and floating villages.

Pity there has to be chains around the legs of the elephant and a cruel rope around its body. I will never visit this CRUEL AND HIDEOUS elephant nature park.
IT IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

Yes, you are so right! It is cruel how they force them to wear tanktops and flip flops in mid september! Oh, the humanity! And capris?! SO last season! My heart goes out to those poor, poor, children!

Funny that actually the rope is probably leading to something for people to sit on, it doesn’t hurt. the chains are also designed to protect the humans who visit the park, as they are touching it’s baby. Nature parks often give them main free reign in the park and it’s a sure lot safer than being shot to death with ak47s and whatever the local poachers can get there hand on for the ivory.
SO before you start having a go at the parks for cruelty really look up what cruelty is.

THE REAL CRUELTY IS THAT ELEPHANTS HAVE TO BE PROTECTED AT ALL, THAT WE ARE NOT SMART ENOUGH TO LEARN FROM THESE PEACEFUL, GENTLE GIANTS WHO ONLY ATTACK WHEN THEY OR THIER FAMILYS ARE BEING ATTACKED. THEY LOVE, THINK AND GRIEVE JUST LIKE HUMANS EXCEPT THEY DON’T FORGET, WE DO!

Actually, Anna, I think being shot is far better than being a slave for their entire lives – which they can live VERY long. I think you are the problem here not Cynthia. You probably hunt for a sport too.
All animals should stay where they belong- in nature. Survival of the fittest is just a downfall, but atleast they are all free.
Anna-you should educate yourself on the way “entertainment” animals are being treated before you start barking at someone else.
